The service has since expanded to PC and even includes direct partnerships, such as one with Riot Games.
When Hytale was owned by Riot Games, it was almost guaranteed we would see Hytale on Game Pass due to the previously mentioned partnership. However, Hytale has not only returned to being independent but also scrapped their cross-platform engine in favor of the original exclusive for PC. This has ensured that, at least for the foreseeable future, Hytale will not be on the Xbox Game Pass. We do know that it is a distant goal to bring it to consoles down the line, though.
As for the PC Game Pass, it is unlikely we will see Hytale there for the time being, either. The Hytale development team has made no mention of deals with Microsoft, and being in such an early state, it may not be eligible until receiving a bit more development time. Hytale is only in early access, after all.

However, their save data is not deleted unless the console or PC owner personally does it themselves.
