How to Farm Ghost Shrooms in V Rising

Posted on by cade-davie
In V Rising, there's no shortage of resources to help you become the ultimate vampire lord. One that players may encounter in the Cursed Forest is the Ghost Shroom, a potent fungus that might not seem helpful at first. However, they can develop a handful of useful tools you won't want to miss out on. With that, we have all the info you need on how to farm Ghost Shrooms in V Rising right here!

How to Farm Ghost Shrooms in V Rising

V Rising Lair of the Behemoth map screenshot Ghost Shrooms are found exclusively within the north-eastern reaches of the map. You'll have an easy time finding them in the Cursed Forest region. They're scattered about and relatively near the general roads. However, the best spot for Ghost Shroom gathering is the Lair of the Behemoth. Yes, this area is home to a terrifying and powerful level 84 boss called Gorecrusher the Behemoth. Despite this, there is a healthy handful of Ghost Shrooms that spawn in the arena. Thankfully, the Ghost Shrooms grow around the outside edges of the beast's arena. With careful use of your dash, you can skirt around and grab the Ghost Shrooms before Gorecrusher even notices you. All you need to do to harvest Ghost Shroom is give it a quick whack with your primary weapon. Head in, grab your Ghost Shrooms, and hop out before Gorecrusher smashes you. Trippy Shroom Planting V Rising screenshot Additionally, Ghost Shrooms can also be dropped by mobs like witches. Another consistent source is cutting down and refining Cursed Wood. Naturally, you'll need a Sawmill or an Advanced Sawmill to churn through Cursed Wood. For each 40 pieces of Cursed Wood, you'll receive 4 Planks & 2 Ghost Shrooms. Finally, you can also grow Ghost Shrooms at home yourself. First, you'll need the appropriate plant rearing setup back at your manor, and some Ghost Shroom Spores. These have a chance of dropping when you smack patches of Ghost Shrooms, but you can also purchase Ghost Shroom spores directly. Head to a City Herb & Potion Vendor in the Silverlight Hills region, and cough up 80 Goldsun Coins for a handful of Ghost Shroom Spores.

What Are Trippy Shrooms?

As you're gathering Ghost Shrooms, you might also notice an occasional purple shroom among the pickings. These give off more of a sparkling glow than Ghost Shrooms, and they're called Trippy Shrooms. While they do look incredibly magical and valuable, they don't have any practical benefit for your character, unlike Ghost Shrooms. Consuming a Trippy Shroom will, instead, cause your screen to warble and distort for 45 seconds. So if you're looking for an odd visual effect to play around with, Trippy Shrooms are an easy pickup. Just make sure you don't keep them on your hotbar in a pinch! But if you're looking for long-term character benefits? Stick with the nice, useful Ghost Shroom instead.
