Terraria Chillet Mount Guide: How to Get, Attacks, & more

Posted on by cade-davie
There are loads of mounts to discover and collect in Terraria. With the arrival of the Bigger & Boulder 1.4.5 update, even more mounts have arrived. Arguably one of the best mounts as part of this update is none other than the Palworld Pal Chillet. It can be hard to find a Chillet mount of your own if you don't know where to go, but our guide can tell you exactly what to do.

How to Get a Chillet Mount in Terraria

  • Spelunker Potion - Gives players the Spelunker buff for five minutes, which makes all nearby valuables highlighted and easier to spot.
  • Metal Detector - Scans the immediate area to make nearby valuables easier to pinpoint.
As you head into the earth, the item you're looking for is a Huge Dragon Egg. Inside this purplish egg with black stripes is your new Chillet or Chillet Ignis. The only difference between these two types of Chillet is their color. A normal Chillet is an icy blue, while a Chillet Ignis is a soft reddish pink. The odds of getting either one from a Huge Dragon Egg are 50%. From that moment on, it will be a mount you can toggle. Chillet is a particularly powerful mount in Terraria. Not only is it fast, but you can also use any item or weapon while riding it. It also reduces fall damage by 50%, and it doesn't change your character's height while riding Chillet. However, the most powerful part of this Pal is its dash attack. To activate the dash attack, simply double-tap the left or right movement keys. This dash attack is based on the Rocket Slam skill Chillet learns in Palworld. In Terraria, it has the following effects:
  • Grants the mounted player 0.17 seconds of invincibility frames.
  • Inflicts 32 summon damage.
  • Inflicts a knockback of 6.
That moment of invincibility is extremely powerful. It makes Chillet an enormously useful tool in boss fights with contact damage. You can perform dashes right after one another with very little cooldown, meaning Chillet can nullify loads of difficult-to-avoid attacks from bosses. Not only is this dash attack useful in combat, but it also allows you to perform some powerful movement tech. The dash has a slight angle when performed, and it can be combined with extra jumps. With this, you and your Chillet can zip around virtually any type of terrain that might be difficult to navigate otherwise.
