Arcadia-7 is a fairly large world, and relying on your two feet for travel isn’t time- and energy-efficient in the long run, especially with deadly heat waves that are always knocking at your door. Thankfully, you can unlock fast travel in StarRupture. However, there’s a catch, as this feature is locked behind a difficult quest.
The location to unlock fast travel in StarRupture is the Forgotten Engine, a massive structure with a turbine-like object protruding from it, visible in the distance. But ensure proper preparation before taking on this challenge, as powerful enemies are waiting for you to try and complete this arduous undertaking.
So, bring your best weapons and ensure they have the best possible attachments. Additionally, stock up on healing items and consumables that give powerful buffs. Finally, you must have a Power Cell, which requires 400x Electronics, 400x Chemicals, and 1,000x Data Points to craft at the Basic Item Printer. That means it’s also clear that you must wait until the endgame before attempting to unlock the teleport feature in StarRupture.
Tip: This challenge can be easier when working together with allies in a StarRupture server.
Once you’re sufficiently prepared, travel to the center of the map. You’ll know you’re going in the right direction if you see and head to the location of the giant turbine in the distance.

Nearing the main entrance sparks a conversation with the assistant voice, telling you that it’s still possible to enter the establishment. With that, the entrance to the structure is on its northern side by the giant broken fan. Here, you’ll find a large hole. Jump down to begin this challenge.
After jumping down the hall, you should see a large gate. Walk to its side and use a Power Cell to open the airlock. Walk forward until you reach an elevator. Ride it to reach the Main Engine’s main area.
Step out of the elevator once it comes to a stop, and proceed to the Main Engine floor. Here, interact with the keypad next to the Main Engine door to open it. Next, travel left to progress.
Note: Loot is substantial in the Forgotten Engine. So, choose which items to add to your inventory to avoid running out of storage space. Continue moving forward until you reach an open airlock with a “Loading Area” sign above it. Proceed to the connecting hallway and then take the path to the right at the intersection.
Open the door, and you should be in a familiar place. This location is near the Main Engine floor’s entrance. Do so for a convenient way to return to this area, should you feel the need to return to base and restock on supplies.
Next, turn around and go straight until your path is blocked. So, take the path on the left to reach the Control Center. Enter this area, and continue moving forward until you’re given a choice to travel left or right. Take the path to the left to reach a staircase. Climb it to reach the Logistics floor.
Your preparation for combat will pay off on the Logistics floor, as this area is littered with Vermin. Carefully move forward after passing the door with the “Logistics” sign above it. Then, kill any moving entity you find that isn’t your ally.
Eventually, you’ll reach the restrooms. You can go inside to enjoy a temporary respite. Otherwise, take the door to the right of the restrooms. Then, move straight until you reach a path blocked by tumors on your left. Destroy these pustules to proceed.
Follow the path to reach the generator room. Here, destroy all the tumors blocking the machine to get it running again. But be warned, as more enemies spawn in the Forgotten Engine as soon as you activate the generator.
With the generator active, take the path on the right to reach a staircase. Take the stairs to return to the Main Engine area. However, this time, move forward to reach the Control Center that was previously locked due to a power shortage.
Enter and loot the Control Center to find a keycard. Pick it up, and return to the stairs to reach the Tech Stations floor.
Shoot the tumor on the right of a gap upon reaching the Tech Stations floor. Move forward afterward and pass through the Storage Bay. Next, take the path opposite the Server Room until you reach a door. Open it, and then turn left and forward. Continue moving forward until you reach more tumors. Dispose of the pustules and enter the room to get the core.
Return to the Main Engine area and into the Control Center. Here, place the core in the computer to activate it. This time, ready your arms, as waves of monsters are coming your way.
Defeat all enemies to complete this challenge. As a bonus, you’ve unlocked the fast travel function in StarRupture. In particular, you now have access to the Teleporter, which you can place in different locations across Arcadia-7.
