Lewis also has a fondness for hot coffee, as evidenced by his home, where his beloved mug is next to a note from "M." Although occasionally flawed, Mayor Lewis is the beloved cornerstone of Pelican Town. At his core, he cares for his citizens, regardless of the time they arrived in Stardew Valley. An additional gifting opportunity opens during his birthday on Spring 7, allowing players to present the Pelican Town Mayor with another item. Remember, gauge Lewis's responses to check if he loves, likes, dislikes, or hates a particular item. The replies to watch out for are the following:

Lewis's Heart Events

Mayor Lewis is one of the non-marriageable NPCs in Stardew Valley. Nonetheless, heart events can still trigger during specific friendship levels, starting at Friendship Level 3.

Three-Heart Event

Lewis sends you the recipe for Spaghetti in the mail. Simply receive the recipe to complete this instance.

Six-Heart Event

Upon reaching Friendship Level 6 with Mayor Lewis, enter Pelican Town between 7 PM and 11 PM on a sunny day. A cutscene should trigger, showing the player catching (SPOILER ALERT) Lewis and Marnie in an intimate relationship. Lewis catches you and asks if you heard anything. Then, two on-screen options appear:

• +50 Friendship: “Yes… but I’ll keep it a secret.”
• -100 Friendship: “Yes… and I’m going to tell everyone.”

Seven-Heart Event

The seventh and final heart event from Lewis is like his three-heart instance. However, this time, he’ll send you the recipe for Eggplant Parmesan in the mail. Again, receive the recipe to complete the event.
