Palworld Home Sweet Home Update: Release Date, ULTRAKILL Collaboration, & More

Dubbed as a fast-paced, ultraviolent FPS, ULTRAKILL will soon transform the Palpagos Islands into a vicious playground. This marks Palworld’s second major collaboration after the Tides of Terraria crossover. Palworld Home Sweet Home Update Release Date

A recent trailer for the Home Sweet Home Update announced that the game’s collaboration with FPS title ULTRAKILL will be released on December 17, 2025. The update comes with various new content, features, and improvements to Pallworld, including new weapons and base customization options.

New Weapons & Combat Mechanics

The ULTRAKILL collaboration brings the iconic FPS’s weapons and gameplay mechanics to Palworld. In particular, the trailer showcases new firearms modeled after ULTRAKILL’s revolvers and shotguns. As for the key mechanic, it involves the ability to toss a coin into the air and shoot it to ricochet bullets. Do so to reflect damage towards aggressive Pals, especially those hiding behind corners.

Base Customization: Painting

True to the name of the patch, the Palworld Home Sweet Home Update adds base painting to the game’s growing list of features. With it, players can decorate structures and walls with a variety of vibrant colors, including (but not limited to) red, green, and blue. This new feature provides a new layer of creativity for players, which ultimately makes their bases feel more unique and homely.

New Boss

A new boss is teased at the end of the trailer, although we don’t have a clear view of it. This new foe has a large silhouette with two glowing eyes. Currently, it’s unclear if this new encounter is a new ULTRAKILL-themed dungeon boss or a new raid boss. Nonetheless, players should expect a challenging experience when facing this new enemy.

Version 1.0 on the Horizon

At the very end of the trailer for the Home Sweet Home Update, players are teased with the eventual full release of Palworld, which is expected to be sometime in 2026. This patch coincides with the game’s 2025 roadmap, as it hinted that the year will come with different collaborations, the first one being with Terraria.
