Thanks to this year's Summer Game Fest, we finally know when Palworld 1.0 will arrive: July 10, 2026! That's right, the update is finally landing this summer! And it's not only for PC players either. When 1.0 arrives, it will be available across all platforms where the game is currently playable, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

What's New in the Palworld 1.0 Update?

Palworld 1.0 Cinematic Trailer screenshot Sadly, even though Palworld 1.0 is right around the corner, information on what the update will include for gameplay remains extremely light. Thanks to the cinematic trailer linked above, we do have a teasing look at some new Pals. As confirmed by the global communications lead for Pocketpair Publishing, Palworld 1.0 will feature more new pals than any previous update. That means plenty of new ways to fight and manage your base, including new ways to wield pals as weapons directly. We also know there will be significant overhauls to the game's progression systems.  Additionally, each Palworld update has expanded the map in some way. While there's no confirmation that 1.0 will further increase the size of the world, it's a safe bet. Based on the cinematic trailer, fan theories, and teases from the developers over the last year, the enormous World Tree and its surrounding islands may be the go-to endgame destination when 1.0 finally arrives. Finally, the developers have given players a small warning concerning 1.0 ahead of time. While players will not need to wipe their previous worlds for the massive update, the folks at Pocketpair think it's a good idea to do so. Players are free to continue on the save files they've put so much time into. But with "overhauls to mechanics and new content," the Palworld developers think it's best. Of course, the decision is yours! Sometimes, a brand new playthrough with new content, bug fixes, and quality-of-life changes can feel even better. Of course, losing all those hard-earned Pals might sting a bit - so choose wisely!
