Even in its early access state, there are loads of materials to discover and craft with in Hytale. Of course, some materials are harder to find than others. One that can prove particularly difficult to scavenge is Storm Leather. However, we can tell you exactly how to nab Storm Leather in Hytale so that you can continue your crafting journey.
If you haven't been able to find Storm Leather or Storm Hide, there's a good reason. At this point in the early access period for Hytale, you cannot obtain Storm Leather in Adventure mode.
Hopefully, this will change sooner rather than later in an update. Until that time, you can only obtain Storm Leather through console commands or by entering Creative Mode. Of course, if you want to emulate the Adventure experience, you can take the time to craft yourself a Tanning Rack and give yourself heaps of Storm Hide. Then, you can plop those pieces into the Tanning Rack and wait for your Storm Leather to form.
If you're looking for Storm Leather, odds are that you're chasing after the second Backpack Upgrade. This is an enormous gameplay buff that permanently increases your character's inventory. However, there are also some powerful, late-game items you can create with Storm Leather when you combine it with Mithril. In addition to Storm Leather, there is the Storm Hide mentioned above and Stormsilk Scraps. Like Storm Leather, these two crafting materials are currently unobtainable in Adventure mode. When crafting a Mithril Shield, you'll need to give yourself both Storm Leather and Stormsilk Scraps using Creative Mode.
