Hytale Cobalt Farming Guide: Where to Find, Crafting Recipes, & More

When stepping outside Emerald Grove and the Howling Sands, players are greeted with tougher enemies and more difficult challenges. You can prepare yourself for these endeavors by farming Cobalt and using it to upgrade your gear. Here, we'll cover where to find Cobalt in Hytale, good locations to search, and all of the crafting recipes to make use of this strong mid-game ore!

Where to Find Cobalt in Hytale

It’s possible to find and farm Cobalt Ore in various zones and biomes in Hytale. However, players should be able to find more Cobalt Ore nodes in Zones 3 and 4. Note that this ore is dark blue, setting it apart from nearby elements. If you’re farming for Cobalt Ore in Zone 3 – Whisperfrost Frontiers, find it on higher platforms, particularly in a mountainous region. Cobalt Ore can also appear on the walls of abandoned structures, such as disheveled towers. Otherwise, head to the underground layer of Zone 4 – Devastated Lands to find Cobalt Ore.

Cobalt Uses & Crafting Recipes in Hytale

Like other ores in Hytale, Cobalt Ore can be refined into a Cobalt Ingot in the Furnace. Once transformed, use it, along with other materials, to craft various midgame tools and gear, including the coveted Backpack Upgrade I.
