Five Minecraft Mods to Try in 2026

Jobs+

• Author: DAQEM
• Link: CurseForge

Encouraging progression through levels, classes, and quests has been a staple of RPG games for ages, and Jobs+ by DAQEM showcases how fun it can be in Minecraft as well. Taking on the roles of a miner, excavator, farmer, builder, enchanter, alchemist, and more, levels can be gradually gained through job-specific tasks. And what are those job levels for? Job coins, course! These nifty coins allow players to progress the skill tree of their favorite job, providing perks and powers usable out in the world.

Trek

• Author: Hotsuop_old
• Link: CurseForge

Trek by Hotsuop_old adds not one, not two, but over 150 new structures to the overworld. Some highlights include everything from villager islands to iron factories and even pirate coves. But the best part? All of them are overflowing with loot! So, grab a sword and some armor and take on all the new nefarious NPCs, becoming the very best adventurer we know you can be.

Maxwell the Placeable Cat

• Author: Flowyan
• Link: CurseForge

Sometimes it is the silliest of mods that leads to the most memorable moments, and Maxwell the Placeable Cat by Flowyan is a great example of that. It does nothing besides what its name describes, allowing for rounded loafing cats to be placed. Is it helpful? No. But filling a friend’s house with them or spamming them during the Ender Dragon fight is pretty funny.

Stellarity

• Author: Kohara
• Link: CurseForge

The official End update may still be a ways away, but that hasn’t stopped modders from making it reality! Stellarity by Kohara provides a fantastical overhaul to the End, complete with 23 new biomes and an abundance of structures. Further yet, the mod expands late-game progression, allowing players to craft over 40 new items that use nether-specific ingredients gathered through means such as void fishing. Alchemy and cooking are also expanded in Stellarity, leading to not only new potions, but food that provides buffs as well. With all this content, it is hard to believe it is a single mod!

Verity

• Author: VarmiteYT
• Link: CurseForge

Inspired by ThatMob’s viral Minecraft series, the Verity mod uses AI integration and text-to-speech to become a fully functional companion eerily close to the real Verity. He can help you find what you need, hold a conversation, and give advice. The perfect friend, one could say! But just like in the videos, if unknown conditions are not fulfilled, Verity may deteriorate until he is nothing more than a monster hunting players relentlessly. Can you survive Verity?
